aku kena tahan org ingt aku pencuri

aku nie suka jalan2 sorang2.

tadi aku gie kinokuniya klcc sorg2 bawak sling bag jer. masuk2, aku ingat nak belila apa2 buku ker. tapi pastu decide nak jalan2 jer la. dekat dua jam aku kat situ cuma belek buku jer ke sana ke mari. beg sling aku plak penuh buku, jadi aku beli komik satu, dpt la plastic bag terus aku transfer buku2 dalam sling bag tu ker dalam plastic bag, pas2 aku belek2 lagi buku, aku dok berkenan ada satu buku ni, tapi aku decide tak nak beli. terus aku kuar kt pintu depan escalator, turun.

masa kat depan panggung wayang tu tiba2 ada abang 2 orang ni tahan aku. dia ingat aku pencuri, dia akata nak check beg plastic kinokuniya tu. aku kata okaylah, check. satu2 buku dalam beg tu diorang kuarkan. komik tu aku cakapla baru beli. ada dua buku citer takder tag kinokuniya, aku ckp itu hadiah bapak aku dan akak aku kasik. kemudian ada satu buku jepun, aku kata beli kt kinokuniya bawah tu. kemudian abg sorang tu nak check bag sling aku lak, aku kata boleh ajer sambil tersnyum, tgk kat dalam penuh komik. abg2 tu pun terus okaylah, terima kasihlah, selamat ari raya lah, yg sorang lagi blah cam tu jer.

aku gelak jerlah pasal dah berjaya nyusahkan org lain. tp, ada la bibit2 malu, dan tak puas ati, aku pun naik atas balik, aku ambil buku yg aku berkenan tu terus beli., akak cashier siap kasi bag kertas besar lagi. dah beli aku berdiri depan pak guard yg jaga depan pintu tu, aku berdiri jap antara sensor2 tu buat lagak skit, pastu aku blah. itulah experience aku shopping kat kinokuniya. ada pengajaran, kaalu ikut jer cakap dorg takder mender punyer, senyum skit, baik2 ckp, okaylah, semua puas hati.

dan lagi satu moralnyer, jgn dok kinokuniya lama nanti kena cap pencuri....LOL

the colossus' shadow

the young man rode his loyal horse as fast as he could towards the forbidden land. with him lies a lifeless body of a covered young maiden. on his belt, the blade of an ancient sword shines radiantly, even though the skies were grim. overhead, eagles soar the air, silently spying at the wanderer as he makes his way into the gateway.

the loyal horse stopped in its track. a single stone bridge lies between the wanderer and the towering structure miles ahead of him. the bridge was the only way across the valley, so as not to waste more time, he urged his horse forward. the stallion obliged, travelling across the stretch of stone that could send them plummetting down to death if they were not careful.

they reached the structure, and a stone doorway invited them in. traversing a spiral staircase leading down towards a hall, the wanderer continued into the hall, and had his eyes on an interesting sight. flagging him at both sides of the hall were sixteen colossal statues, silently standing as if eyeing the wanderer as he continued on towards the pedestal at the edge of the hall. beyond the pedestal was the view of the outside; green pastures with occasional trees and monolith rocks, and silent mountains across the valley.

climbing down his horse, the wanderer carried the blanketed maiden and placed her on the pedestal. removing the blanket, the wanderer gazed at the maiden's face as her features shone upon the daylight. i will bring her back to life, he thought, no matter what the price i will pay, no matter what the challenges i have to face.

suddenly, his horse neighed distrubingly. the wanderer turned around to see dark human shadows beginning to spawn out of the floors of the hall. the shadows crept towards the wanderer, menacing hands waving at him. more and more shadows spawned out, an eerie sound of moans and hisses attempting to scare the wanderer.

the wanderer however was not intimidated. he drew out the ancient sword and pointed it towards the shadows. light from outside illuminated its blade, and the light travelled across the hall. the shadows stopped in their tracks, backing down and eventually disappering back into the floor.

a deep thundering voice, or rather a number of voices, began to echo across the hall. a blinding light shone down from the large circular roof above the wanderer. you have the ancient sword: the voices said: yet you are mortal. we are the dormin: continued them: what do you wish, mortal?

the wanderer, with a stong resolve, said it out loud: you are the ones who could revive the dead. revive the maiden: he pleaded: i am ready to do anything. we are capable of doing so: they said: but there is a huge price to be paid. i am ready: he replied: anything. we will grant your wish: they say: see the idols that stand across the hall? the wanderer noded. we will be able to grant your wish if the idols were to be destroyed: they continued: but the idols are unbreakable, though another way does exist. the wanderer silently listens. scattered throughout the land are colossus that resemble each of the idols: they said: find and destroy them, and the idols they represent will also be destroyed, and we will be able to grant you your wish.

the wanderer nodded. shine the sword in your hand in the light: said the voices: and the path to the first colossus, and the next, will be open for you. the wanderer then lifted the sword in the sunlight, and streaks of light radiated, focusing on the southern mountains beyond the valley. with that, his fateful story begins...

the beckoning plague!

we are living in the state of fear today. there is fear all around us. the "tarkin doctrine" is emerging into our society. there are fear of crimes, fear of rights, fear of power, fear of social degradation, and even fear of individualism. strangely though, there was no fear of Allah. i must stress this is happening in our society, frail and fragile, afraid that a stress will break the thin loose threads that maintain the fabric of society. but this fear is justified. truly frail our society is, that a snip will break us apart. chaos is the fear of society right now. tension is everywhere, whether between ideology, race or religion. particularly religion. Islam is being fought in from many directions, by human rights, from within, from other religions. why is that? did we not do what has been done by our muslim leaders, particularly Prophet Muhammad SAW? Something wrong with our education? Our ustaz and ustazahs not doing their job properly? yes, a lot may be to blame, but stress is on education.

these days the education system is all about grades, nothing else. this effects the student in their understanding of the islamic education subject. they are pushed to read books, about how to do this and do that, know this know that, but I believe they lack the understanding of WHY this is done. Do they understand WHY there are things not allowed and prohibited in Islam? why its bad to consume pork, why dogs and pigs are filth, why alcoholic beverages is haram, why there is an aurah, why this why that? yes, i remember explicitly the questions that are asked in the paper, eg. explain reasons that (insert statement here)... yes, students need to go beyond that, ask themselves why, and there should be a dedicated guide to help, not some itchy-itchy ustaz or lion-faced ustazah to make the student hate the subject. everything done must be for a reason, and the reason must be valid and acceptable! we want a guide who we can respect!

talking about respect, it seems we're losing it day by day. there's no respect for the elderly, the teachers, our own parents. what is going on? is individualism rearing its ugly head too soon? is it just me or is the kid screaming to his/her dad/mom? ouch, our parents do not want their children to feel what they have felt - the misery and pauperness of life - is not such a good excuse to shower and pamper them. i see children with gadgets - ipods, 3g phones, ps2 - when i see myself at their same age clueless about playstation or even the walkman. in fact i remember that the only computer-related thing i know when i was 6 years old was the reader rabbit learning software i take in that computer class oh so far away, and the thin, flimsy diskettes you put in to play that platform games which title has lost itself in the back of your mind. we spoil them rotten! they won't be thankful if they have all these things without an effort to mind!

truly, times are changing. while i was reading that pagelet in the star talking about how thankful they are to be living in malaysia, i was wondering to myself, albeit feeling helpless myself, what can i do to help myself be grateful?
